Privacy policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

This policy covers the KiwiPhone marketing website, launch list and Facebook or Instagram Instant Forms. KiwiPhone is responsible for deciding how the information it receives through these channels is used. This is not permission to record calls or a privacy notice for an activated telephone service.

Contact and your choices

To remove your signup, unsubscribe, or make a privacy request, email hi@kiwiphone.app from the address you used to sign up. Say whether your request concerns the website launch list, a Meta Instant Form, or both. We may ask for proportionate verification before disclosing or deleting information. Do not send passwords, verification codes or private call content.

Information we collect

Why we use it

With your consent, we use signup details to send KiwiPhone launch news and invitations. An Instant Form submission is an invitation request, not an activated phone account. We may review and transfer form leads to our launch-list systems to manage those requests; a form submission does not itself create a website signup or allocate a number.

We rely on legitimate interests to keep the website secure, prevent abuse and respond to enquiries, and on legal obligations where we must retain or disclose information. You may withdraw launch-email consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. We do not sell your contact details.

Optional advertising measurement

Meta advertising measurement on the signup page is off until you choose “Allow measurement” below or submit signup agreeing to our Terms and this Privacy Policy. Under this signup policy, joining enables launch emails and Meta advertising cookies and signup measurement without a checkbox. An existing measurement opt-out is respected, and you can turn measurement off here and still join. When enabled, the Meta Pixel receives page-view and successful new signup events, browser/page information and advertising identifiers or cookies, including a valid Meta ad click ID, to measure and improve our ads. We do not include your email or private removal token in these events. Meta still receives technical information when your browser connects to its service.

Your measurement choice is stored locally for up to 180 days. Change it using the controls below. Declining or revoking stops future measurement through our integration and attempts to remove its advertising cookies; it does not erase information Meta already received. This policy page and private removal pages do not load the Pixel.

Forms completed inside Facebook or Instagram are also subject to Meta’s privacy policy and platform settings. Our website cookie choice does not control Meta’s own platforms.

Providers and disclosures

Cloudflare hosts the marketing site and its signup database. Meta hosts Instant Forms and processes advertising data. Email delivery providers process addresses and messages when we send launch emails. Access is limited to the operator and providers that need the information for their tasks. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect people, the service or legal rights.

Providers may process data outside the UK. Where restricted international transfers apply, appropriate safeguards are required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Provider privacy information is available from Cloudflare and Meta.

Retention and deletion

Website launch-list records expire after 12 months. To request earlier removal, email hi@kiwiphone.app. New signups do not display a self-service removal link; previously issued links remain usable. Launch emails must include an unsubscribe method. Recovery backups may retain deleted data until the provider’s backup period expires.

Instant Form leads are held separately in Meta until reviewed, exported or deleted. Email us to withdraw an Instant Form request or ask us to delete copies under our control, specifying if you also joined on the website. Our retention policy for unactivated form leads and exported launch-list copies is no longer than 12 months after signup, unless an earlier deletion request or a legal requirement applies; these copies may require manual deletion. Meta’s own retention is governed by its policy.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent and object to direct marketing at any time. Contact us using the route above. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children and changes

The launch list is intended for adults aged 18 or over. Do not submit someone else’s details without their permission. We may update this policy as the launch develops, displaying the updated date here. Before you activate phone service, review the privacy information and terms presented for that service.
