A little clarity before
your first hello.
KiwiPhone is a business phone app being built for solo business owners in the UK. It brings a local UK business number, inbound calls, an AI receptionist, post-call transcripts, todos and caller details together on your iPhone.
No extra device or SIM is needed. KiwiPhone is a native iPhone app with a separate business number. Sign in with an email magic link, and an available local UK number is automatically assigned near your area. There is no Android or web app in the first version.
In Ring me mode, you receive a notification. Open it to answer in the app, send the caller to your AI receptionist, or hang up. If you don’t answer within 30 seconds, the receptionist answers. In AI answers mode, the receptionist answers straight away and you’re notified. Notification delivery depends on your iPhone’s permissions, settings and connectivity. Calls have a 30-minute limit. If the AI can’t answer, the call ends without a voicemail fallback.
It can answer questions in English using your saved business information and take customer requests for you to follow up. You set it up from your website and can edit its business information at any time. It doesn’t confirm bookings, place orders or carry out actions in other tools. You can read the transcript after the call, but can’t view it live or take over an AI-handled call.
Call audio is processed to carry the conversation and create a transcript, but recordings are not saved and there is no audio replay. Transcripts are available after the call and have no automatic expiry, subject to applicable erasure rights. This applies whether you or your receptionist answers.
The planned £10/month Plus plan includes outbound calling. On Free, callbacks hand off to the regular iPhone Phone app and use your cellular calling setup and caller ID—not your KiwiPhone business number. These regular Phone-app calls are not transcribed or summarised by KiwiPhone.
KiwiPhone is in development for a UK-only launch on iPhone, with English-language conversations. Join the email list to hear when it is ready. Free includes a business number, unlimited incoming calls and five AI receptionist pickups per week. Plus is £10/month and adds outbound calls and unlimited AI receptionist pickups. There is no launch date or App Store link yet; this is not an available phone service.
